Honey Girl Couture
In 2025, I designed a logo for Honey Girl Couture. They’re a small business based in Hawaii that specializes in curated Y2K and modern pieces. You can check them out here.

The design process for this logo began with an exploration of elements that evoke the early 2000s aesthetic, specifically focusing on the use of an old English typeface. This typeface was chosen for its classic elegance while being stylized with a chrome effect to capture the reflective, futuristic vibe characteristic of the Y2K era.
Incorporating the client's request for a butterfly added a layer of symbolism and visual interest to the logo. The butterfly was designed to harmonize with the typeface, emerging from the text as if it were taking flight, thereby representing transformation and creativity. Throughout the process, careful adjustments were made to ensure that the butterfly complemented the chrome finish of the lettering, striking a balance between the bold typography and the delicate nature of the butterfly. The result is a logo that successfully merges nostalgia with modern aesthetic appeal, meeting the client's vision while standing out in a contemporary context.
